University can be both the best and most challenging time of your life, be sure to look out for your housemates and yourself. We’ve put together some useful links so you can be proactive with your own health, and get support when you need it. 

Register with a GP and Dentist It’s essential to register before a problem arises so you’re not waiting for treatment when you need it most, you don’t want to travel back across the country to see your childhood doctor when unwell!

Check In On Your Housemates being empathetic and supportive can make a huge difference when someone needs to talk, sign post them towards University and NHS resources included here if you think they could use a little more help.

Reach Out Charities like Mind, Samaritans and Student Minds have helplines for when you may want to talk to someone with no fear of judgement. Each University in Greater Manchester has counselling support for their students, you can find a list of resources here.
