Manchester Pride 2025

Manchester Pride is back this August, transforming Canal Street into the city’s biggest weekend party. With lively bars, pop up stalls, and live music across multiple stages, there’s something for everyone. We’ve gathered all the key events and travel tips you’ll need, check them out below!

MARDI GRAS

23 - 24 AUGUST

Get ready for a brand new addition to the Manchester Pride lineup

Mardi Gras , a two day explosion of creativity, music, and pure euphoria at Depot Mayfield and Freight Island.

Expect high energy performances, world class DJs, iconic drag royalty, dazzling cabaret, and non stop celebration of LGBTQ+ culture.

GAY VILLAGE PARTY

22 - 25 AUGUST

Manchester’s Gay Village turns into the ultimate celebration on Pride weekend. Think four days of cabaret, funfair rides, silent discos, and nonstop anthems.

Pop icons like Samantha Mumba, B*Witched, and Sister Sledge are headlining, with drag royalty Danny Beard and Diana Vickers also in the mix.

Look out for stage takeovers from Divas Only, Gaydio, and Your Manchester Live.

PARADE

23 AUGUST

The Manchester Pride Parade is the city’s biggest and boldest celebration, bringing tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies together to march for equality. With the streets packed and the city at a standstill, it’s a powerful, colourful show of pride and solidarity. If there’s ever a time to be loud, proud, and unapologetically yourself, it’s there.

CANDLELIT VIGIL

25th August

The Candlelit Vigil, held in Sackville Gardens with George House Trust, closes Manchester Pride with a powerful moment of reflection, honouring those lost to HIV and standing together against stigma.

THE RALLY

22nd August

Kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend, The Rally is all about standing up, speaking out, and pushing for change. With powerful speeches and performances from LGBTQ+ activists and community voices, it’s a call to action against discrimination, reminding us that Pride started as a protest, and still is one.

TRAVEL

By Tram or Bus
One of the easiest ways to get around Manchester is by tram, hop on a Metrolink to Piccadilly Gardens or Deansgate, Castlefield. Buses to Piccadilly Gardens are also a solid option and run regularly.

By Train
Travelling in by train? Manchester Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations are just a short walk from all the Pride action, including the Parade and Gay Village Party.

By Car
Driving into the city? Use the postcode M1 3HE for your sat nav. For Parade viewing, NCP Great Northern Warehouse (1 & 2) are nearby. Heading to the Gay Village Party? Check out NCP Sackville Street or Chorlton Street car parks.
